- ALICE households earn above the Federal Poverty Level, yet they are not eligible for assistance and cannot afford the basic household necessities, including housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.
- Over 16,000 households in Sangamon and Menard Counties are ALICE.
- ALICE households are disproportionately communities of color.
