Meet our Employee Campaign Coordinator, Nathan Davis of Crawford, Murphy, and Tilly Inc. (CMT).

Nathan is a Project Manager at CMT and has served as an Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC) for two years. He began as a volunteer with United Way's Day of Action, and then began coordinating the CMT teams participation. After some time in that role, he was asked to step up into the ECC role and assist with coordinating the annual campaign.

Nathan says that being an ECC is a great opportunity to become more involved both with United Way and the community as a whole.

When asked what makes a successful United Way campaign, Nathan says it best,

"They key is communicating the impacts of the donations and encouraging participation. Understanding that everyone is busy and communicates differently is critical. We plan a multifaceted approach to communications leading up to and during the campaign week to make sure our message gets across. We organize a companywide campaign in multiple offices across the country. We have messaging scheduled both on the company wide level, but also on an individual office level. We start off with a companywide letter straight from the CEO and then follow-up with emails, posting on internal SharePoint sites / messaging boards, and actual signs and posters hung within offices. We also have a designated office coordinator in each location to serve as a local point of contact and encourage each office to organize an office specific event with their local United Way Chapter."

Nathan says that United Way continually offers ways to connect with inspiring people in the community, and he encourages others to get involved in some way as well.
