Employee Campaign Coordinator Spotlight: Alysse Hewell

At United Way of Central Illinois, we are fortunate to work with passionate individuals who lead by example and encourage their workplaces to give back. One such leader is Alysse Hewell, the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Troxell Insurance.

For the past 10 years, Alysse has served as an Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC), guiding her company’s United Way campaigns with enthusiasm and commitment. Not only has she taken on the role of ECC, but she has also made a difference by participating in Day of Action and joining committees to help drive United Way’s mission forward.

Why did she become an ECC?

She laughs, saying, "I was asked to by my employer!" But what started as a request soon turned into a fulfilling experience where she could connect with her colleagues on a deeper level while giving back to the community.

What’s her advice for future ECCs?

"Being an ECC is a fun way to engage with your team while supporting the community together. It’s a win-win!"

Alysse credits leadership support and a workplace willing to try new ideas as key elements of a successful United Way campaign. Having a committee of engaged team members also helps make the process smoother and more impactful.

Finally, Alysse is passionate about United Way’s mission because all the funds stay local, ensuring her efforts benefit those in her community.

Thank you, Alysse, for your dedication and leadership! We appreciate everything you do to support United Way of Central Illinois.
