At United Way of Central Illinois, we’re thrilled to recognize the contributions of two dedicated Employee Campaign Coordinators (ECCs) from MJ Kellner FoodserviceAudra Steele and Rayna Dambacher.

Audra, a Foodservice Buyer, has been an ECC for 6 years, while Rayna, the Director of Marketing, has served as an ECC for 5 years. “We became event coordinators because we’re passionate about creating engaging experiences for our employees,” they shared. “We believe that fun activities foster teamwork, boost morale, and strengthen our company culture.”

Audra’s connection to United Way goes back to her childhood. “My mom was an ECC for many years, and I used to help her plan and participate in events. It inspired a love for the community in me at a young age, and now I’m passing that on to my daughters.”

Their advice to anyone considering becoming an ECC? “Give it a try! United Way offers great support with ideas, and you can choose your own themes. Think outside the box and ask for suggestions from your team!”

For Audra and Rayna, a successful United Way campaign is all about fostering a sense of collective purpose. “Invite passionate advocates to your workplace who can share personal stories and show how contributions make a real difference in the community. Relaying the message about the impact of donations and giving regular updates is crucial.”

Their favorite part of working with United Way? Knowing all funds stay local and seeing the positive difference their efforts make in their community. “We love volunteering and witnessing firsthand the impact United Way has.”

Thank you, Audra and Rayna, for your commitment to building a stronger, more connected community!
